In this essay I am liberation to resolve the relationships between directors and conditions. I want to explore whether a directors chit-chat on a design takes away from the designer in anyway. I am departure to look at other designer/director experiences and also draw on some of my own experiences. Firstly I feel it is important to gussy up what the role of a director is and what the role of a designer is. Having looked at many different opini ons it is hard to summarise what individually role entails but there are common links. With these in mind I have tried to encapsulate a basic outline. A director is most likely to year all aspects of a theatrical production, from the production stages and rehearsals through to the lowest performance.

Directors are responsible for the artistic interpretation and delivery of the comprise play. Designers are responsible for the visual aspects of a theatre production.
